If you haven’t seen this movie and want to see it without knowing the ending, don’t read this until after seeing the movie.
I saw this movie the other night and, while it is a movie that succeeds on many levels, including (most prominently) the superb acting and dialogue, I also found it deeply troubling.

Dashboard Confessional (sort of) and Augustana (not)

 This concert at In the Venue was billed as “Dashboard Confessional (solo) with Augustana and John Ralston.”  We didn’t know what to make of that, but we like Augustana a lot, so we went. 

The Future of the Music Industry

I have always wanted to own and operate an indie record label.  Of course, as is my usual luck, I’m thinking about doing this at a time when the whole concept of the record label as a business model is in question.

A lot of fantastic things were said in General Conference this weekend, and I want to highlight some of my favorites, but there has been a lot said about President Beck’s talk (the best from Kristine and Julie) and I want to add my thoughts.
