I was born in Falls Church, Virginia and raised in Orange County California and Salt Lake City, Utah. I’m married to a great girl named Robin, we have two kids  and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Blaise. I love running, swimming and biking in the summer and skiing in the winter. I’m now a lawyer who wants to write novels, make movies, start a record label and play in a band (in no particular order).  This is my blog.

  1. I’m finally making my way to other blogs! I love yours, interesting stuff!

So I think you have great taste in music and I find it interesting that you are a Lawyer! It seems there are a whole lot of Mormon Lawyers out there! weird :)

Anyways thanks for commenting on my blog! I’m so glad to have super cool mormons and not just anti! I feel like I can breathe now! :)

  2. Thanks Steff! I really appreciate you stopping by, I love your blog and enjoy hanging out with you and the crowd there. You have a unique mix of personalities that’s for sure.

Being a lawyer is part of the DNA in my family. There are a lot of Mormon lawyers in the bloggernacle and luckily most of them are fun and interesting.

  3. Riding Giants, my wife gives me such a hard time everytime I watch it, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU WATCHED THIS? I lost count :)

    Cool blog MCQ.

  4. Thanks, Coventry! See, I told you we were a lot alike.

  5. MCQ

After all this blogging I think I am going to start building my own blog as well.

  6. Good! Then Steff and Ray and I can have a place to hang out and have a virtual beer.

  7. Cool :) I will make sure it is an O’Douls

  8. Where can I email you MCQ? I promise, no spam or NuStar.

  10. I loved Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels. You need to see “No Country For Old Men”. It’s not Guy Ritchie but a Coen Brothers film. But same brutal behavior. I’ll have to check out Snatch.

  11. Seen it! I really liked it but it’s not my favorite Coen film. That would be Miller’s Crossing, the greatest film ever made.

  12. Ha! Bro Quinn! Pretty sure I love all the same bands you do and I also want to write novels. Thanks for the tips on FMH. I organized an activity they said they wanted, and no one showed up. I’ll keep trying . . .

  13. Yeah, I was sorry to read that, and especially sorry about your Valentine’s eve. That totally sucked. Here’s wishing you a better day tomorrow!

Pretty sure I love all the same bands you do and I also want to write novels.

I always knew you had good taste.

  14. Bernese Mountain Dog, there was a lady in England that had one in this little tiny garden area of a yard and it was mainly an indoor dog …. but just loved it… those dogs are so cool.

  15. Yeah, ours are indoor dogs too. They don’t like to stay outside, they like to be on your lap. They forget how big they are.

  16. We have 4 Chihuahua’s all under 5lbs so that just = one dog, and 2 chow chow’s that are getting up in years, the male chow chow is over 15 which is amazing. Love lap dogs :)

  17. I’m now a lawyer who wants to …start a record label and play in a band (in no particular order).

tyhat was/ismy childhood dream. I still keep the idea tucked in the back of my head just in case…

  18. uftda!

sorry for all the typos, i’ve got a bandage on my index finger and it makes typing difficult.

  19. bandage…from playing guitar?

  20. How did I not meet you at Sunstone? We are in agreement on half of your “best bands” and decidedly not on the other half! I was friends with Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 in high school so I saw some very early shows. Have you heard Everything Absent or Distorted? Denver band, used to play with the Fray?

  21. I probably did meet you at Sunstone, but didn’t know it. Were you at the blogging panel?

I haven’t heard that band, but I’ll look them up. I should update the above list, because my favorite band right now is Kings Of Leon.

  22. Yes and I was the one with the crazy kid. We weren’t as subtle as I wished to be!
